Applications of Class Field Theory in Wireless Communications

Resum

The aim of this talk is to demonstrate how central simple
algebras and their orders can be used to enhance the quality of wireless communications. This is done by embedding the information bits to be transmitted into smart algebraic structures, such as matrix representations of maximal orders. We show that minimizing the transmission error probability can be translated into finding a cyclic
division algebra with minimal discriminant.
