Hecke eigenvalue fields and Maeda's conjecture

Resum

Maeda's conjecture gives a prediction about arithmetic invariants of Hecke eigenvalue fields of classical cusp forms in level 1. In higher level some expectations and some results have been recently formulated and proved (Dieulefait, Martin, Pacetti, Tsaknias). After a short introduction on this subject, I will present some results, statistics and present predictions about Hecke eigenvalue fields of classical cusp forms and of Hilbert modular forms. This is based on works in progress with Eduardo Soto and with Paloma Bengoechea.
